HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOZART!!!

Dear Friends,

Come and join the Columbia Choral Society as we celebrate the 250^th anniversary of the birth of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Our performances are part of the “Mozart Withdrawal” portion of the city-wide celebration of the SC Mozart Festival. If, after the festival ends on February 11, you still need a Mozart “fix,” I hope you will make plans to attend one of two identical concerts where we will celebrate the life and music of musical genius.

The members of the Choral Society, along with guest soloists, will present four choral works --- God is Our Refuge, Solemn Vespers of Confession, Ave verum corpus and the Mass in C (“Coronation Mass”). The performances are Thursday, March 9 at 7:30 pm at St. Martin’s in the Fields Episcopal Church (off Forest Dr. near Trenholm) and Sunday, March 12 at 4:00 pm at Shandon United Methodist Church (Devine St.).
